objective of the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Project, to be developed in Accra, the biggest city in Ghana, is to alleviate traffic congestion occurring at the intersection of Ring Road West and Winneba\/Graphic Road through the upgrading of the traffic circle and development of two flyovers allowing continuous traffic flow along Ring Road West. The design of the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Project consists of two fully integrated \u2018tiers\u2019, namely:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Tier A:<\/strong> Construction of an East \u2013 West flyover continuing the Winneba\/ Graphic Roads.<\/li><li><strong>Tier B:<\/strong> Construction of a North \u2013 South flyover continuing Ring Road West, upgrading the existing Obetsebi Lamptey Roundabout at ground level, and carrying out adjoining drainage works to alleviate seasonal flooding.<\/li><\/ul><p>Tier B is being developed by QGMI and builds on the Tier A works on the East \u2013West flyover, also carried out by us. This includes a Resettlement Action Plan developed by QGMI in consultation with the Department of Urban Roads, who is responsible for implementing compensation and resettlement prior to commencement of ground works. The Project is expected to lead to the reduction of noise levels and air emissions as a result of improved flow of traffic and lower congestion.<\/p>          <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n
